Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat

All children, infants - 5th grade are invited to this free event!

Bible Study - Paul's letter to the Philippians

Beginning Sunday, Sept. 10

6:30 p.m. (in the metal building)

Pastor Michael Leonhardt will be offering a new, verse by verse, Bible Study on Paul's letter to the Philippians. 

Children's Ministry 

Every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. we will read a meaningful Bible devotion, listen to encouraging Christian music, play fun games, create artwork, build scripture memorization, and grow our relationship with God! 

Children's Time takes place after the Children's Message during the Worship Service. During each session, we'll watch a fun VeggieTales video clip, read a meaningful Bible devotion, and complete an engaging activity that ties into the Scripture-filled lesson. Upcoming dates include: 

Sept. 17 and 24: VeggieTales: Faith in God 

Oct. 22 and 29: VeggieTales: Courage

Caring Cards creates and sends beautiful cards to encourage and uplift our church family and those in our community. Caring Cards takes place during the Children's Sunday School hour (9:30 a.m.) on the following dates: 

Sept. 3, Sept. 17, Oct. 1 , Oct. 15, and Oct. 29

Starting in November we will work on a special Christmas project!

Golden Hearts

Tues., Sept. 5: Meet in the Activity Building at 10:00 a.m. for Bible Study with Rev. Barbee Parsons. Please bring a covered dish to share at our luncheon following Bible Study. 

Tues., Sept. 12: Meet in the conference room at 10:00 a.m. to carpool to visit our sick and shut-ins. 

Tues., Sept. 19: We will have lunch at The Deli at Laura's Tea Room and take some free time to visit the shops in Ridgeway. Leaving at 10:00 a.m.  

Tues., Sept. 26: Let's ALL go to the movies! Meet in the conference room at 10:00 a.m. to go to the movies at Sandhills Theater. Bring your Regal cards and plan on eating lunch out. 

Ladies of St. John's 

Maggie Truesdell Circle will meet Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 10:30 a.m. in the metal building. 

Women's Bible Study will begin a new book on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We will meet for 7 weeks. The book is still to be determined. 

Covered Dish Lunch 

Family Life Ministries will be holding a covered dish lunch and fellowship time on Sunday, Sept. 17 following the Worship Service. 

If you plan to attend, please call the church office. 

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Cub Scouts Pack 316 is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on 

Wed., Sept. 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Child's plate - $5.00 

Adult's plate - $7.00

Lee/Parker Sunday School Class

If you are new or not new here at St. John’s, our class invites you to come visit with us for Sunday School. We are mostly retired adults, enjoying the teaching of Rev. Barbee Parsons. Rev. Parsons makes the Bible come to life with his vast knowledge of the Bible. We meet in the metal building at the end of the hall, at 9:30 AM.

Lawn maintenance 

Volunteers needed for grass cutting.  Anyone willing to help with the church yard, please call the church office at 803.438.1335.

Aluminum Cans

Please keep saving your aluminum cans this summer!

There is a recycle bin by the Day Care entrance of the church. If you have any scrap aluminum, please contact the church office to make sure it can be recycled.  

Caring Cards
